I read a post on facebook and reposted that asked if a person could give their younger self some good advice in two words, what would it be?  My first response was “Enjoy everything!”  But the more I thought about it, that just didn’t seem like enough.

I think my best advice would be PRAISE ALWAYS!  No matter what situation in which we might find ourselves, there is always something to praise God about.  He is always good, always faithful, and always worthy of our praise.

6 A Song of degrees for Solomon.) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh [but] in vain.

-Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

-But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Hebrews13:15- By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.

-Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Psalms 95:1 – 6 -O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Psalms 100:4- Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, [and] bless his name.

Ephesians 5:19- Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

-Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Zephaniah 3:17- The LORD thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Psalms 96:1 – 9 – O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

My advice to my younger self would be, “Praise, always!”
